The countdown to Summer Camp 2027 is on! Registration opens September 29, and we’re already getting excited about another unforgettable summer at Muskoka Woods.
Every summer brings new adventures, new friendships and new memories, and 2027 will be no exception. We’re always looking for ways to make the Muskoka Woods experience even better for our guests — whether that means creating more opportunities to enjoy their favourite activities, improving our facilities or helping guests spend more time connecting with the people around them.
For Summer Camp 2027, we have some exciting updates in store. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up at Muskoka Woods.
More Activities. More Time for Your Favourites.
There’s a lot to experience during a week at Muskoka Woods, and in 2027, guests will have even more opportunities to do it all.
We’re moving from 1.5-hour to one-hour activity periods in 2027, giving guests 10 more activity periods throughout their week! That means guests can experience 20-25 activities, up from 16-18, with even more opportunities to try something new and spend more time doing the things they love.
It also means more time on the water! Ropes, Wibit and Kraken are now guaranteed twice, WILD through Senior High guests are guaranteed tubing, and CREW guests will enjoy three hours of Wake Sports.
More activities, more favourites and even more ways to make the most of every day at camp.
Oakwood Is Undergoing a Total Reno!
Senior High boys will enjoy a major upgrade in 2027!
All of Oakwood — five cabins and more than 70 beds — is being renovated, including renovated cabins and bathrooms, upgraded HVAC systems and more.
After a full day of activities, evening programs and time spent with friends, having a comfortable place to return to is an important part of the camp experience. The result of the Oakwood renovations? Updated, comfortable spaces where guests can recharge after another action-packed day at camp.
A Device-Free Camp Experience
Summer camp has always been a chance to step away from everyday routines and experience something different. In 2027, we’re taking another step toward helping guests make the most of that opportunity.
All guests, except those in the CEO Leadership Program, will leave cell phones, tablets, smart watches and other connected devices at home.
Less screen time means more opportunities to be present, build friendships and experience everything camp has to offer. Whether guests are trying a new activity, spending time with their cabinmates or simply enjoying being outdoors, going device-free creates more room to connect with the people and experiences right in front of them.

Easier Cabinmate Requests
Coming to camp with a friend can make the anticipation of summer even more exciting, and we’re making it simpler to request a cabinmate in 2027.
Our new process allows families to send and confirm requests through their accounts, helping make matches more accurate while continuing to give guests plenty of opportunities to meet new friends.
This feature will open late fall 2026, giving you plenty of time to submit your request after registration.
Something BIG Is Around the Corner…
Last but certainly not least, we’re working on a huge new addition to Muskoka Woods — and there’s nothing quite like it at any other summer camp.
What is it? We’re not telling… yet!
It’s so exciting, we’re saving the big reveal for later — and we’ll be asking YOU to help us name it through a special contest before next summer.
