Families are encouraged to drop their children off at camp. Join us on arrival day (Super Saturday) between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM to tour our facilities, meet your child’s counsellor and settle them into their bunk. Be sure to enjoy our family barbeque at the flagpole, and check out the Opening Day Show at 6:00 PM. Here you’ll meet our Camp Director and key staff members who work closely with our counsellors and instructors to make your child’s week unforgettable. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

Please note: We are not prepared to receive early arrivals on Super Saturdays. The camp gates will open promptly at 4:30 PM. Please be aware that for safety reasons, a police officer may be present at our gate to direct traffic. You are not permitted to park alongside the highway.

If you plan to arrive late to camp or leave early, please call our office in advance. Please note there is no adjustment in fees or option to make up missed activities. If someone different from the parent names listed on file is picking up your child from camp, please call our office as the authorized names are required to be added on file. Those picking up guests should be prepared with photo identification. Muskoka Woods does not release guest information to anyone who is not listed on the registration forms as approved by the parent/guardian.


Staying consecutive weeks at camp? Enjoy our stayover program on Saturday while camp is transitioning into a new week. Stayover guests participate in a variety of activities including beach parties, riding the Kraken, and other camp games, supervised by our staff. We also offer optional day trips to Canada’s Wonderland (July 4 and July 18, $325) and Toronto Experience (July 11, $425) for stayover guests. Stayover guests will travel with Muskoka Woods staff in a camp vehicle to their destination.


Coach Service

Guests can choose to travel one-way or round-trip to/from Muskoka Woods in chartered air-conditioned coaches with washrooms. Our staff create a fun and welcoming experience, kick-starting the fun with games and movies before arriving at camp. Our coach service arrives and departs from the southwest parking lot of The Sports Village, Vaughan (2600 Rutherford Road).

Make sure you arrive early to check in and get your seat. Please note: If someone different than the parent names listed on file is picking up your child from The Sports Village, you must call to notify our Guest Relations department and provide the authorization information for that individual.

Airport Service

This service is exclusively offered for guests flying into Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Guests can choose to travel one-way or round-trip to/from Muskoka Woods with pick-up and drop-off to/from their appropriate security checkpoint. Please call our office prior to booking your flights to address any questions you may have. We have intentionally scheduled our ground transportation for our guests to arrive at camp in time for Super Saturday.

Direct ground transportation is provided to guests whose flights land/depart within the following windows:

ARRIVALS – 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
DEPARTURES – 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

We suggest these arrival and departure times to help reduce wait times at the airport. Should your child require the Unaccompanied Minor service as stated by the airline you are choosing, the flight must be scheduled before 7:00 PM. Muskoka Woods staff member contact information can be provided for those using Unaccompanied Minor service the week the flight is scheduled. All flight itineraries must be received by our Guest Relations department via email at least three weeks prior to travel. Pre-booking of flights is required, as we are unable to accommodate the transportation of guests flying standby. All airlines have policies regarding children; carefully check with your airline to confirm their policy for further details. Any fees charged by the airline(s) for overweight baggage and/or Unaccompanied Minor services will be at the expense and responsibility of the parent.


You may request the use of our services up until two weeks prior to the service being provided. After that time, we can take requests as space allows. If you wish to cancel any of these services, you must do so at least one week in advance. For an additional cost, you can purchase your child a Camp Essentials Kit that will be waiting for them on their bunk when they arrive at camp.

Basic Camp Essentials Kit includes a water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, toothbrush and toothpaste.
Deluxe Camp Essentials Kit includes a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, fitted bed sheet, beach towel, gym bag and Basic Camp Essentials Kit.


Delivered to your child’s bunk on Tuesday to remind them you are thinking of them! Includes a Muskoka Woods stuffed animal, bubbles, playing cards and a sweet treat, all in a cute drawstring bag.


New for 2020, Muskoka Woods has partnered with Waldo which uses facial recognition to provide personalized photos directly to your phone! Photos will be uploaded daily and delivered via the mobile app. Parents can share their account with up to 6 guests. To register for Waldo, please use the code MUSKOKA20 on the app or visit here. Make sure to select the right week and age group (WILD or Venture ONLY)! 


Guests staying two or more consecutive weeks can register for our laundry service. They will receive a laundry bag during the week, which is picked up on the weekend and returned the following day. Counsellors are available to help younger guests use this service.


For your convenience, we highly recommend that you set up a Store Account before your child arrives. We suggest $55 per week. You can log into your family profile and add money to your child’s Store Account at any time, even while they are at camp. Want to know what they are spending their money on? You can get an up-to-the-minute report of their purchases. Any balance over $10 will be refunded in September by cheque or credit applied to your Visa or MasterCard.

Set up a Store Account in one of three ways:

a) include it with your registration
b) log into your family profile and add it to your account
c) bring money with you to deposit on arrival


Cabinmate requests are completely optional. We guarantee one cabinmate request as long as: the request has been reciprocated; both guests are registered in the same week and same age group (based on age as of December 31st); and requests are made at least two weeks prior to arrival. We will do our best to honour any requests that are made. NOTE: While we do our best to accommodate special requests, such as counsellor and language requests, we cannot guarantee that these requests will be fulfilled.


While your child is at camp, you and approved family and friends, can send one-way emails to keep in touch. You can log-in to your Muskoka Woods account, go to “View Registrations”, click on the week your child is attending, then “Send Emails”. Click “Manage Guests” from your login dashboard to invite family and friends to email your child. Emails will be printed and distributed to your child daily.


Head lice is a common problem amongst children and is occasionally identified in our incoming guests. As a community living in close quarters, head lice can spread quickly and be hard to eliminate. In an effort to prevent lice, we request that all parents check their child’s head for lice before arrival. We recommend checking for lice both one week and one day before arrival.

Upon arrival, guests will also be checked by a Lice Screening company called Lice Squad. If any lice or nits are found, parents will have one of two options:

  • Return home and, after proper treatment has been received, return back to camp (product will be available to purchase)
  • Parents can request Lice Squad to treat the guest for lice. Parents will be subject to a $275.00 minimum lice treatment fee payable upfront. This includes one on-site treatment and comb out by a nurse, as well as the supplies necessary to continue treatment at home.

To avoid stress and disappointment, we strongly urge you to check your child’s hair prior to arrival.


Meals at Muskoka Woods are served buffet style. Guests enjoy a wide variety of foods, including a full salad bar and vegetarian meal options. Please inform us of your child’s special dietary needs when you register, and we will be glad to accommodate them. At most meals, guests are seated with their cabin group. Due to the number of guests and staff with nut allergies, we ask that you do not send any snacks with your children containing nuts of any sort.


Prior to registration, parents of guests with special needs are invited to contact Guest Relations, who will connect you with our exceptionalities coordinator to discuss availability and how we may best care for your child.
