Take your students on the ultimate winter getaway! Students of any age will enjoy all the winter fun Muskoka Woods has to offer, experience the great outdoors with their peers, grow in confidence as they try new activities, and strengthen their leadership and team-building skills. This affordable winter retreat includes all meals, activities and accommodations on our secluded Lake Rosseau property.
While leading all of your activities, Muskoka Woods’ staff follow the See, Stretch, Support teaching philosophy: seeing the person and his/her potential, creating intentional opportunities for growth, and sustaining with encouragement and presence.
Our staff also focus on the importance of Challenge by Choice, which encourages students to define their own success, set individual goals, develop at their own pace, push themselves to new limits and try new things beyond their comfort level. At Muskoka Woods, we believe active participation is more important than the outcome. We seek to provide positive experiences that follow our trademark: FUN!
During Winterfest, students will participate in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, broomball, tubing, rustic winter experience, campfires and much more! Please note: all activities are weather dependent.
Meals are served buffet-style three times a day, with additional snack times. Our chefs create a variety of tasty options, and there's always a fully-stocked salad bar. We accommodate guests with vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan diets. Let us know if your child has special dietary needs, and we'll do our best to accommodate them, as well.
Our heated cabins sleep 12-14 guests each. Washrooms are contained within the cabin and include toilet stalls, shower stalls and a bank of sinks. Teacher accommodations are located near student accommodations.
Winterfest runs from January - March. Teachers may choose the duration of stay that best suits their school schedule. Dates are subject to availability. Cost varies depending on group size and duration of stay.
